Time (Haiku)

safe in your arms
tugging at your shirt

in your memory forever

Clerihew (attempted on Mr. Manmohan Singh)

Indian leader Mr. Manmohan Singh
Wears a turban with a zing

Intellectual, smart but never asserts
Believes in savings, even his words

clerihew is a poetic form about a celebrity. The celebrity’s name is the title of this humorous type of poem, and the person is named in the first line. A clerihew has four lines, which are usually of an irregular length. Lines one and two rhyme, and lines three and four rhyme.

A special thanks to Daisy Mariposa for motivating me to attempt this form.

PADE Day 18 Bridge

Welcome to Day 18 of PADE
Theme for today is “Bridge”
And here is my interpretation

(C) Juztamom

We meet
In the middle of the bridge

Eyes locked with eyes
Hands held together
Distance covered together
Step for step
Vow for vow

We meet

In the middle of the bridge

Longest bridge to cross in life....from being single to being married . I am glad I got a partner willing to take equal steps and meet me in the middle.

Look forward to visiting you all and seeing your interpretation
