Color Of Love

I ask what the color of love is
Some say red
It is as bright as red
As burnished as burns
As deep as blood
And as red as red

Some say it is blue
As pristine as a lake
As gorgeous as the sky
As pure as her eyes
As beautiful as blue

Some say it is orange
The orange of the evening hue
The glow of the burning desire
The after-effects of a deep set fire
As fiery as orange

Some say it is green
The green of a prayer
The passion growing in nature
As appealing as rain washed trees
As green as soft velvet grass
As bountiful as earth
As abundant as green

Some say it is white
As pure as white
As calm as white
As absorbing as white
As transparent as white
As white as white

I say love is colorless
Colorless yet full of color
It is like a rainbow
Glowing in all the colors
Still colorless
Embarking on the glory
Bestowed by someone else
Glowing in the presence
And absence of colors
Getting drenched in rain drops
Sailing in abundance
Being shy in the sky
And commanding on earth
Being alone and lonesome
Yet being together forever
Coming and going
Yet lasting forever
Yes...
Love is a rainbow
Blooming in the eternal spectrum
Of passion, romance, being together and apart
Being one and being alone

Let Me Be

Let me walk at my own pace
Let me grow as I want
Don’t make me grow up fast
Let me grow up first

I have yet to learn the A,B,C of life
Don’t make me learn it by heart
Let me live it and learn it
I promise I will never forget
I promise I will always remember
All the important lessons
That I learn through life
Not just learn by heart

I want to run, jump and slide
I want go up and up on the ride
The green grass and the muddy bush
Let me play there a little while
Please don’t hold my hand and push
Let me walk a little mile
On my own
Let me fall
Let me get up
On my own
Let me learn the lessons
Lessons I promise I will never forget
That I learn through life
Not just learn by heart

Come walk with me
The roads are dirty
But they are full of fun
Come be my friend
Keep me sturdy
Be my sun
I promise I will shine
Through your light
I promise I will be a bright star
May be not as bright
As some other star
But as bright as I could learn
AS bright as you let me learn
I promise I will always keep the light
I promise I will always shine
I promise I will remember everything
That I learn through life
Not just learn by heart

Shared with NaPoWriMo. The prompt was a challenge to write a poem in the voice of a member of your family. This poem is on behalf of every child I know. I wish we let the kids be kids for some more time before we pressure them to be a part of any rat race.

Tiny Flares

I look at your tiny flares
Wrapped and frozen
Waiting for the loved one
To remove the layers,
One by one
To come close
And taste
Heaven

I hold my breath
And kiss you with close eyes
I run my lips along
Your contour and lines

My mind explodes
Unleashes myriad emotions
My heart skips a beat
When it tastes your passion

I swirl my tongue
And hungrily devour you
I wait for heart to sing
And world to stop
I don’t want the night to end
I like it hot
For there is nothing better on a hot summer night,
than ice-cream
With strawberry on top

Snout Otter Clam
Strawberry Top
Incised Moon
Sparse Dove
False Cup-and-Saucer
Leather Donax
Shuttlecock Volva
Striped Engina

Lost

Lost in the woods
I walk barefoot
Dancing to your music
Chained and hooked

Before the sunrise
Before my birth and demise
I will open my wings and escape to you
Even if god defies

For you are my god, my religion
You are what is written and unwritten
On my forehead and my heart
Covered in you completely smitten

In your lust I am lost forever
In your wait I walk and I never,
Stop and look back, for what is left
Is lost forever

I keep falling, my pieces scatter
Drenched in my blood, they stagger
Leaving my prints, marking your name
Swaying to your tune, one by one, they clamour

I will walk till nothing remains but you
My pieces will fall till nothing remains, only you
And I become one
With you, all pious, all new

Senses

Sound of virtue
ringing in my ears
A rhythm of love
swarming with tears
Heart within my heart

Baby in the Womb by laughingsingingtree

Touching and touched
Reaching my core
Dancing glory
Aches and adores
Body in my body

Small and inexplicable
Vision of beauty
Filling my eyes
Completing me truly
My life in me

Colors don't lie

The moon is green, envying
the orange of sea
when it merges with blue sun,
which carries the heart breaks of white earth
soaked in colorless ashes of,
 floating birds
wailing for dead bodies of trees, red
and blue with burns, and
bleeding black blood
Of humans as pure as white

Shared with NaPoWriMo. The prompt was to write a ten-line poem in which each line is a lie.

Call Of Love

Burn me in your fire
Engulf me in your flames
Destroy me, be the pyre

#napowrimo

Till nothing remains
But you and me
And our love sustains

The tides of sea
become the magical potion
That only lovers could see

And swallow swig by swig till their bosom
Overflow and explode
And fill the world with love golden

Etched in the sky like the sun glowed

Shared with NaPoWriMo. The prompt was to write a poem in terza rima. This form was invented by Dante, and used in The Divine Comedy. It consists of three-line stanzas, with a “chained” rhyme scheme. The first stanza is ABA, the second is BCB, the third is CDC, and so on.

Who Are You?

Who are you?
Why the quest?
Where do you belong?
What is your zest?
Why the questions?
Did you get the answers?
Did I tell you?
Didn't I tell you?
You are You, Nothing more nothing less!

Shared with NaPoWriMo. Prompt was to write a poem in which every sentence, except for the last one, is in the form of a question.

One Last Mile

One last mile
I want to walk with you
Looking into your eyes
Holding your hands
Walking in eternity
To the whale-road (1)

My feet were forlorn
Only a few days back
My days were heavy
Only a few days back
My mornings were dark
Only a few days back
My walks were lonely
Only a few days back
Before you took my hands
Into yours
And we walked towards
The whale-road (1)

We just had our first kiss
We just had our first miss
You just wiped the tears from my face
I just had my fears replaced
I just tasted your breath
The taste still lingers
Your blue is still entwined
With the orange hue of my fingers
No don’t let go,
Walk with me
Just one last mile
To the whale-road (1)

We just had our first FIRSTs
Leave the blood-amber(2)
Go break the wound-hoe(3)
I will not let you go
To the weather of weapons(4)
Before you walk with me
Just one last mile
To the whale-road(1)
I will make sure
The last mile lasts forever
The sword will never sleep(5)
We keep walking forever
To the whale-road (1)
